Stepfather accused of fatally stabbing son during argument

A 30-year-old St Catherine man died after being stabbed several times by his stepfather during a dispute in Portmore yesterday.

He has been identified as Trevor Irving, a forklift operator of Duncans Avenue, Waterford, St Catherine.

Reports are that about 11:40AM on November 9, 2025, an argument between Irving and his stepfather at their home escalated into a physical confrontation, during which the stepfather stabbed him multiple times.

Irving was rushed to the Spanish Town Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment.

The Waterford Criminal Investigation Branch is probing the matter.
