Mystery surrounds sudden death of St Thomas security guard

Residents of Phillips Field in Yallahs, St Thomas were left stunned on Monday after a 37-year-old security guard collapsed at his home and later died under mysterious circumstances.

The deceased has been identified as Vijay Brown.

Reports indicate that about 1:30 a.m., Brown had just gone home when he suddenly became ill and fell. The nature of his illness has not yet been determined.

He was rushed to the Princess Margaret Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.

The Morant Bay police have since launched an investigation to determine what led to the sudden death.
