Truck overturns on Marcus Garvey Drive, three woman hospitalised

Three women were injured in a dramatic early morning crash along Marcus Garvey Drive in Kingston after a truck loaded with marl reportedly ran a red light and slammed into the vehicle they were travelling in.

Reports are that the truck collided with a Toyota RAV4 SUV, causing the heavy vehicle to overturn.

The impact left the SUV badly damaged and triggered a swift response from the police and firefighters.

Emergency crews had to extract the female driver of the SUV from the wreckage before she, along with two female passengers, was rushed to the Kingston Public Hospital for treatment.

The driver is reported to be in serious but stable condition.

Investigations into the crash are ongoing.
