The iconic old-school party series Good Times is set to return with a special central and intimate edition on Saturday, November 29, at Jangas Soundbar & Grill in New Kingston.

The event is part of the popular Cassette Club series, a throwback Saturday night concept celebrating the very best of the 80's, 90's, and early 2000's, with a focus on vintage vibes, timeless tunes, and feel-good fun. Good Times has been lighting up Jamaica's entertainment scene since 1996, winning fans over with its unbeatable vibe and world-class music selections. Known for its large-scale, "out-of-town" productions, Good Times flips the script this time around by taking over the centrally located Jangas, a boutique venue with a 1,000-person capacity and two built-in bars, the perfect setting for an up-close, vibe-heavy throwback night.

Robert 'Bobby' Chantrelle, representing Good Times, shared his excitement for this new staging.

"We've done the big, out-of-town format, and we'll do it again. This staging is all about the essence of Good Times - classic tunes, familiar faces, and all-around pure vibes. The Cassette Club series has been a hit, and we're thrilled to be part of it with this special edition," Chantrelle explained.

With Good Times, the soundtrack is always a showstopper, and this year, the legendary DJ Kurt Riley, aka 'The Party Animal', and DJ Sanjay will be behind the turntables. Partygoers will immerse themselves in an expertly blended mix of classic reggae, dancehall, hip hop, R&B, and pop, a playlist crafted to ignite the crowd from start to finish. Every track is a reminder of why these hits ruled the charts and packed dance floors, delivering a non-stop throwback party that brings the golden era of entertainment roaring back to life.

Patrons are encouraged to lock in their spot early by visiting Janga's Instagram page and tapping the link in their bio to join the list. Then arrive ready to dance, reconnect, and relive the classics in the heart of Kingston. In addition, patrons are also encouraged to bring items for donation to the South St Elizabeth Relief / Restoration Initiative. A portion of the event's proceeds will also go towards supporting this important community effort, helping to bring relief and restoration to those affected.
